7. How long do I wait between each session? How do I know when to come for my next treatment?

Facial Hair: Usually after the first treatment, facial hair will shed within 10 days. Your next treatment will be when you start to see new hair growth, which is usually 5 to 6 weeks after the first treatment.

Below shoulder area: Within 3 treatments you will achieve smooth, ingrown free skin and at least 50% of hair reduction will be achieved. The first 3 treatments may have to be 6 to 8 weeks apart. Then you may need to come for the following treatments every 8 to 12 weeks.

The best way to estimate your treatment dates is to observe the new hair growth. The subsequent treatment is usually 4 to 6 weeks after the previous treatment.

8. What measures are to be taken Post-treatment?

After the treatments, we advise you to treat your skin with care for next 24 hours. Taking showers with boiling hot water, sweating excessively, rough exfoliation or products that contain a lot of chemical ingredients should be avoided since they can cause itchy, sensitive skin. After this period of time, you can return to your daily habits with no danger whatsoever.

The most common types of sun damage to the skin are:

• Dry skin — Sun-exposed skin can gradually lose moisture and essential oils, making it appear dry, flaky and prematurely wrinkled, even in younger people.

Sunburn — Sunburn is the common name for the skin injury that appears immediately after the skin is exposed to UV radiation. Mild sunburn causes only painful reddening of the skin, but more severe cases can produce tiny fluid-filled bumps (vesicles) or larger blisters.

• Actinic keratosis — This is a tiny bump that feels like sandpaper or a small, scaly patch of sun-damaged skin that has a pink, red, yellow or brownish tint. An actinic keratosis develops in areas of skin that have undergone repeated or long-term exposure to the sun’s UV light, and it is a warning sign of increased risk of skin cancer.

• Long-term changes in the skin’s collagen (a structural protein) — These changes include photoaging (premature aging of the skin because of sun exposure) and actinic purpura (bleeding from fragile blood vessels beneath the skin surface). In photoaging, the skin develops wrinkles and fine lines because of changes in the collagen of a deep layer of the skin called the dermis.
