Surgical Facelift:

A facelift is a surgical method that removes excess facial skin to make the face appear younger. It targets a three dimensional sculpting of sagging skin and muscles of the face. Also aids removal of jowls leaving a more pleasing and youthful appearance to the face. This surgery may be combined with neck, eyelid surgery, forehead lift, chemical peels and Laser surgery. Moles occur when melanocyte cells in the skin grow in a cluster instead of being spread throughout the skin and are usually brown or black. Moles can appear anywhere on the skin, alone or in groups.As the years pass, moles usually change slowly, becoming raised and/or changing color. Often, hairs develop on the mole. Some moles may not change at all, while others may slowly disappear over time.Moles may darken after exposure to the sun, during the teen years, and during pregnancy.

Types of Moles:

• Congenital nevi are moles that are present at birth.
• Dysplastic nevi are moles that are typically larger than average and irregular in shape. They tend to have uneven color with dark brown centers and lighter, uneven edges.

Warts:

Warts are raised growths on the skin caused by an infection with human papilloma virus (HPV). Warts are often skin-colored and feel rough distinguishing them from moles. But they can be dark (brown or grey-black), flat, and smooth.

How many treatments are required?

Generally, for the rejuvenation of your skin, the average patient requires six treatments. However, if your lines are very deep, additional treatments may be needed. After each treatment, you will notice continued improvement in your wrinkles and the quality of your skin. Your skin feels tighter, more hydrated and the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines start to fade quickly. It depends on the patient’s skin. The majority of patients start to see results after one treatment session while others will see noticeable results after three treatments.

What are the side effects?

Side effects are generally limited to mild bruising and swelling if any. The bruises usually fade within one week. We offer products that can dissipate bruises in a shorter time frame if that is a concern to you.

Can I go back to work after the treatment?

Yes. However, you will have mild swelling and a slight redness to the skin immediately post procedure that should dissipate within 12 hours, but it can last as long as three days (rare).
